Tamborine Mountain
Tamborine Mountain is a plateau mountain containing the 3 townships of North Tamborine, Mount Tamborine and Eagle Heights about an hours drive south of the Queensland capital of Brisbane in the Gold Coast Hinterland or Scenic Rim area. The total population is around 7,500 residents with a number of heritage listed buildings and sites.
With an average high temperature in January of 26 degrees celcius and an average high in July of 17 degrees Tamborine Mountain is popular with birdwatchers and boasts a number of cafes, art galleries and boutique and souvenir shops.
There are quite a few wineries on Tamborine Mountain and many fine dining venues. There are also some excellent and extremely popular walking tracks with one of the most favoured being the Curtis Falls track.
