Point Lonsdale

Point Lonsdale is a coastal town on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria 25 kilometres from Geelong and just under 100 kilometres from Melbourne. On the open sea side of the town there are often sightings of southern right and humpback whales which also draw crowds along the coastline to view these magnificent creatures. At the beginning of December a norfolk pine of over 100 years in age is lit up to signify the beginning of the christmas period. This has been happening since 1952. Point Lonsdale also boasts a Golf Club, the Point Lonsdale Bowling Club and the local Boardriders Club.
