Marree

Marree is a town in the Outback SA region of South Australia.

Marree is 685 kilometres from Adelaide at the junction of the Oodnadatta Track and the Birdsville Track.

Although so far inland, Marree is only 49 metres above sea level.

The Marree area, which is the entire north east corner of South Australia, has a population of just under 700 people with 70% of them being male. The township of Marree itself has a population of approximately 60 persons. The major areas of employment are mining, agriculture and accommodation services, most being pet friendly.
