Leura itself boasts pet friendly coffee shops, restaurants and galleries and the Council has a very strict heritage policy to ensure that the history of Leura is not ruined by ultra-modern buildings.

Leura features one of the world's most spectacular golf courses and the Leura tourist has many highlights to take in, including Sublime Point, Everglades Gardens, Gordon Falls Lookout, Olympian Rock, Bridal Veil Lookout, the Pool of Siloam, Lyrebird Dell, Katoomba Falls, Leura Cascades, Copelands Lookout, Flying Fox Lookout, waterfalls including Leura, Linda, Lila and Bridal Veil Falls, and one of Australia's finest Toy and Railway Museums which features Australia's largest collection of toys, dolls, teddy bears and model railways.

Pet friendly accommodation is aplenty in Leura and there are other pet friendly services such as a pet shop, boarding kennels, a cattery and a dog grooming service. The pet friendly accommodation includes pet friendly cottages, pet friendly bed and breakfasts, the Leura Gardens Waldorf Resort, self-contained pet friendly holiday homes, historic pet friendly hotels and pet friendly caravan parks.

Leura is known by many as 'The Jewel in the Mountains' or 'The Garden Village' so please plan some time in Leura next time you explore the Blue Mountains of New South Wales.
