Kurrajong

Kurrajong, the Aboriginal name for 'shade tree' is located just over an hour from Sydney and could be considered either a town in the Blue Mountains or an outer suburb of Sydney. Kurrajong has a population of almost 2,100 people and is built around the banks of Wheeny Creek and has some very good pet friendly accommodation options.
Kurrajong is renowned for its orchards and a steam rail link was opened in 1926 to assist farmers in transporting their produce.
