Kilmore

Kilmore is in the Outer Melbourne North of Victoria. Just 60 kilometres north of Melbourne, Kilmore is Victoria's oldest inland town, having been declared an official town in 1843, and today has a population of almost 7000 people, some of those owning and operating pet friendly accommodation venues or pet related businesses.

Kilmore has many old buildings and a large number of them are made of bluestone, such as the hospital, the old Kilmore court house, former Kilmore post office, some churches, a gaol, and a monument to Hume and Hovell near the Kilmore golf course.

Pet friendly accommodation in Kilmore consists of pet friendly caravan parks, pet friendly cottages, and pet friendly bed and breakfasts, whilst pet services include pet food outlets, pet shops, Kilmore vets, pet breeders, boarding kennels, dog grooming and walking businesses, pet friendly Kilmore dining venues, pet insurance agents, pet training and dog obedience schools, pet photography and artists studios, and Kilmore pet transport operators.

Kilmore is well known in the Thoroughbred Racing Industry with both the Kilmore Cup and the Kilmore Pacing Cup being one of the largest events respectively on the Horse Racing and Harness Racing Calendars in Victoria.

Under an hour's drive from the Melbourne CBD, Kilmore is a truly lovely town with many heritage listed buildings and a good percentage of those contain pet friendly accommodation. So why not place Kilmore on your itinerary of pet friendly accommodation venues in the next few months as one of your favourite places to visit. The Kilmore locals would love to show off their country hospitality so head to Kilmore and enjoy your own experience as soon as possible.
