Kiama

Kiama is located on the coast in the Illawarra region of New South Wales 120 kilometres south of Sydney. Kiama is the last electrified stop on the South Coast railway line and is a town of approximately 8,000 permanent residents with a good range of pet friendly accommodation, mainly being pet friendly caravan parks and holiday homes.

The main attraction in Kiama is the Blowhole which attracts many visitors from the Sydney metropolitan area on day trips. The town also boasts a number of Heritage listed buildings and very popular surf beaches. Kiama has a special attraction for my family with my grandmother being born there in the very early twentieth century.

Situated just south of the Minnamurra River and east of Saddleback Mountain, an extinct volcano, there is also the very popular Seven Mile Beach to the south.

The temperature in Kiama ranges from a winter average high of 17 degress celsius to a summer average high of 24 degrees. Pet friendly accommodation is very popular in and around Kiama because of its attractions and activities and its close proximity to Sydney. Other than the pet friendly accommodation venues the town is also well serviced with pet related businesses such as pet friendly dining venues in cafes and restaurants, vets, pet food supplies, dog grooming and washing services, pet minding and dog walking, boarding kennels, pet photography and pet and animal transport.

Kiama is a lovely place to visit and the locals would love to welcome you, whether it be for a night or two or a week or two or longer. Take a look at the pet friendly accommodation listed below and reserve your time there shortly.
