Finley

Finley is a town in the Murray region of New South Wales. The largest town in the Berrigan Shire Finley has a population of roughly 2,100 people.The first town across the mighty Murray River from Victoria, Finley is located approximately 140 kilometres west of Albury on the intersection of the Newell Highway and Riverina Highways.

Finley has an 18 Hole grass green golf course and Australian rules football, cricket and netball are all very popular in Finley with former Hawthorn Champion and Brownlow medallist Shane Crawford starting his career in Finley at the Finley Football Club who compete in the Murray Football League.

The Finley Rodeo Committee holds an annual rodeo every January and Finley Apex Club hosts a tractor pull every February.

An integral part of the famed Riverina food bowl, the Finley district hosts a diverse range of cropping and agricultural enterprises. A man made lake offers a stop-over for BBQ’s, picnicking, sailing, water skiing and fishing.
