Elliott Heads is in the Bundaberg region of Queensland and is located at the mouth of the Elliott River, thus the name Elliott Heads.

With a population of just under 1000 people Elliott Heads is located on the coast approximately 360 kilometres north of Brisbane.

Elliott Heads is surrounded by sugarcane farms and is a popular recreation area, with both surf and stillwater areas for all Elliott Heads water activities.

Elliott Heads Post Office opened in January 1952 but closed in 1986.
