Cape Otway

Cape Otway is located to the south of the Great Ocean Road between the coastal towns of Apollo Bay and Glenaire with the Cape reaching out into the Southern Ocean and Bass Strait.

A good part of the area around Cape Otway includes the Great Otway National Park, with streams running through beautiful rainforest of the Otway Ranges. The coast is mainly rocky with some lovely sandy beaches.

The Cape Otway Lightstation which began operation in 1848, is the main landmark of the Cape.

Pet friendly accommodation in the Cape Otway area consists mainly of pet friendly cottages and apartments with pet friendly holiday homes as well. Other than pet friendly accommodation there are pet services that are mainly rural based such as Cape Otway vets, farriers, transport operators and there is also some horse riding.

Cape Otway is about a 3 hour drive south west of Melbourne but if you decide to take the Geat Ocean Road it will take you a little longer. The quickest route is to turn left off the Princes Highway at Colac.

I dyou are looking for a very quiet coastal holiday then you can't go past Cape Otway. Take a look at the pet friendly accommodation available below and make sure you book in advance. You will love Cape Otway and when returning home you will have your batteries completely recharged.
