Blanchetown

Blanchetown is a small village in the Riverland region of South Australia approximately 130 kilometres northeast of Adelaide and pet friendly accommodation exists at the caravan parks. Blanchetown has a population of approximately 250 people and is situated on the west bank of the Murray River. During the nineteenth century Blanchetown was an important transportation centre on the lower Murray. These days it has been described as a strange mixture of historic buildings and temporary shacks. Blanchetown is widely regarded as the entrance to the Riverland district and has pet friendly accommodation in the form of pet friendly caravan parks, farmstays, station accommodation and pet friendly cottages. Pet services other than pet friendly accommodation in and around Blanchetown include pet food outlets, vets, farriers, horse riding opportunities, pet breeders, boarding kennels and catteries, and pet transport operators. A lovely little township with lovely people, Blanchetown is a place you really should put on your pet friendly accommodation agenda if you are looking for a quiet stay on the banks of the mighty Murray River.
