Bellingen

Bellingen is an extremely attractive country town on the North Coast/Mid North Coast of New South Wales, centrally located between Sydney and Brisbane.

With a population of 2750 people Bellingen is always vibrant and has a mixture of valley, plateau and coastal environments and a bustling shopping centre.

Located on the Bellinger River, Bellingen was named in 1841 by Government Surveyor, Clement Hodgkinson who was visiting the area and a slip of the pen led to the River being names slightly differently than the town. The last letter was supposed to be an 'n' but the river was named Bellinger when Hodgkinson wrote an 'r' instead, so Bellingen is actually the spelling that he meant.

As far as pet friendly accommodation is concerned Bellingen has a number of very inviting pet friendly cottages, pet friendly caravan parks, pet friendly studios, pet friendly apartments, pet friendly bed and breakfasts, pet friendly beach houses, pet friendly holiday homes and pet friendly farmstays and if you feel like your pet needs spoiling while you are in Bellingen there is a dog grooming salon, pet shops, saddleries, horse riding, pet food, products, accessories and supplies, and boarding kennels. And if things aren't too good then there are vets to make your four legged furry friend better.

Bellingen is truly a lovely friendly town and the residents invite you to come and visit this year.
