Tara House has 3 guest bedrooms as well as a shared Dining and Lounge room for guests. The kitchen is available for guests to cook on request. Likewise the laundry for washing and an ironing board can be made available. In normal circumstances guests will not have access to the staff quarters, kitchen or laundry. Please note that the staff quarters are adjacent to the guest quarters at Tara House so guests and staff need to be respectful of sound transference and any noise from televisions, computers, radios, musical instruments and other devices between the hours of 12 midnight and 8am..........Guests will be met and provided with an orientation of Tara House on arrival. Suggestions can be made by Tara management in relation to local attractions and places of interest, as well as restaurants, cafes and hotels available to provide meals and dining experiences in Bairnsdale, Paynesville and Metung..........Tara House in Bairnsdale is located in a very quiet neighbourhood. Day Street has a central median strip so it is recommended to either turn at the northern get-through, or turn into Day street from Ross Street..........Bairnsdale is East Gippsland's gateway to the Alps, Lakes, Ocean, Rivers and National Parks and the commercial hub with shops, restaurants, train station, the library, Forge Theatre and Arts Hub, swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) all in close proximity of Tara House..........Magical East Gippsland has so much to see and do. It is ideal for walking, cycling, taking the car and enjoying the numerous sites, villages and natural attractions. There are train and bus services from the Bairnsdale Train station..........A must is to go into the Bairnsdale Visitor Information Centre but our suggestions are:... - Visit Paynesville and then take the ferry to Raymond Island to see the Koalas or take a boat cruise around the lakes...- Visit Nyermilang Historic Homestead at Nungurner...- Take a relaxing walk along the Mitchell River Walking Tracks or visit Picnic Point...- Meander through the village of Metung...- See a theatre performance at the Forge Theatre and Arts Hub
