Camping and Cabins With more than 80% of our property allocated to guests, we offer spectacular camping sites in a range of areas for those who love to be amongst nature and just love the great outdoors. All cabins are ideally situated in our mountain areas with Dalrymple and Banshee Creeks flowing near-by and all have picturesque outlooks.....Each cabin is uniquely designed to capitalise on the landscape’s beautiful scenery and most feature a ‘Queenslander’ style large balcony, rustic interiors and comfortable Balinese style furnishings.....When you’re not enjoying those stunning views from your private balcony – you might like to take a leisurely bush walk and explore our Australian bush outback or venture up to the rain forest walks (views right through to Gatton and beyond), making the most of a morning or afternoon. Alternately, try your luck with the rod and reel in the nearby creek… who knows, you just might be lucky enough to bring home a seafood dinner! Never short on adventure options, bring your mountain bike for a different way to view the scenery or just bring some books and hang out under a tree......All cabins are serviced by an exclusive central ablutions block including septic toilets and a hot shower to start your day and two cabins now incorporate private bathroom and toilet facilities.....The cabins offer genuine comfort in a real country experience, and that means no electricity in most cabins and no mobile phone reception! We consider it a blessing to offer this temporary disconnect from the world and our return guests tell us it’s a major attraction for them. There’s no problem at all nominating a location when you book, but rest assured you’re not locked into that particular site once here and do have the option of changing over to another site. With so many amazing and varied areas, you’ll be excited by the choices! Even your dog will love it!.....For those yet unfamiliar with Gordon Country, it’s hard to comprehend just how many sites there are and the actual size of those sites. With the enjoyment of campers in mind, our campsites are all based around the beautiful freshwater creek which meanders for kilometres through the rugged mountains and countryside......Our freshwater creeks boast both shallow and deep water holes providing ideal spots for everything from catching yabbies, to cooling off after a big day of hiking, horse riding (conditions apply), or 4W driving.....................Please pack:..........•Sleeping bags, sheets, doonas and pillows – we do provide a variety of bedding so please confirm what you’ll need when booking......•Gas bottle – each cabin is equipped with a BBQ so please bring a small gas bottle.....•An axe or chainsaw – only if you wish to collect your own firewood as pre cut firewood can be provided.....•Candles, gas light or torches – no electricity available in most cabins though solar lights are installed in the main living areas and verandas.....•Camp oven for beautiful fireside meals!.....•Crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are provided.
