Pricing Information

Prices vary depending on the time of year and how long you hire for . In winter,( June July Aug)  you can go for 3 nights for as low as $1,550 on Fox 1  ,$1900 on Fox 3 and up to $2550 on Murray Entertainer. Prices mid year are around $ $2,000 - $2800 for a weekend and $3,100 up to $3900 for a week . All prices are on our website along with our booking calendar so you can see exactly when the boats are booked/available.

Description

Hop on board in beautiful Morgan, one of the friendliest, most peaceful and truly interesting towns on the magnificent Murray River. A gateway to the Flinders Ranges, historic Burra and the world-class wine region Clare, Morgan also boasts amazing fishing and water sports, the spectacular Murray Cliffs, diverse wildlife galore, and the Foxtale river experience of your dreams.

From the Morgan township you have approximately 42 river kilometres upstream to Lock 2, and around 60km downstream to Lock 1. Caudo Winery is a lovely spot and a must on the itinerary .  They have designated houseboat spots where you can tie the boat and do a bit of wine tasting or perhaps indulge in a platter or a coffee.  You may like to step it up a notch with their famous sangrias! Caudo’s is a 5 – 6 hour river trip upstream from Morgan.

If you are holidaying for 5 nights or more, head from Caudo up through Lock 2 where the lock master will help you to navigate through the lock and onto Waikerie. You can top up with groceries at Waikerie and have a nice pub meal at the Waikerie hotel or surrounding cafes. Oh, and don’t forget to also visit the chocolate factory!!

If you are on a trip for 7 nights or longer, head further upstream to the Overland Corner Pub…it is a must! Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter, the Overland is a lovely place to visit and easy to pull up at the river front for a short walk up to the pub. If you want to do something a little different, the Overland will be happy to organise a Black tie dinner for you with a custom made menu to suit your group needs.  They include a mini bus to pick you up from your houseboat door and back again. (bookings will need to be made by prior arrangement) If you are into a little paranormal adventure, ask them about their ghost tour too!
