Coastal Lifestyle

Start your day by taking a short, easy walk to the neighbourhood coffee shop to get a feel for the local way of life. Catchup on the morning paper while early risers, morning walkers and surfers pass by for a coffee or chat.

Spend the morning lounging on Fingal Bay’s gorgeous beach. Hire a paddleboard to appreciate the bay’s shallows and sea life or snorkel around the hidden bay inlets. Play adventurer for the day and trek over the sandy spit if the weather permits. Also, discover the Lighthouse on Fingal Island including the island’s hidden natural wonders.

Explore Port Stephens’ many walking trails, off-leash parks, and dog-friendly beaches with your four-legged family. Unwind with your dog over a cup of coffee, brunch, lunch, or dinner at one of the numerous pet-friendly cafés and restaurants in the peninsula.

Coastal Trails

Follow the twisting sand tracks of the many coastal walking trails while also enjoying the pleasant shade that the coastal flora provides. The sandy paths will lead you to unspoiled, private and quiet bays, beaches, and alcoves all to yourself. You might even come across a roo or two!

As the evening approaches, enjoy a simple meal and a bottle of wine while taking in the beautiful sunsets and lorikeets at the many beachside picnic areas. Alternatively, those with more energy might wish to take a short trip into town to sample a variety of delectable, locally sourced, and fresh dining alternatives.

You’ll finally get a taste of what a true sea change has to offer while staying at Echoes. Discover the several local family and surf beaches, as well as mountain treks and sand dune rides. Take a break from the craziness of everyday life. Treat yourself to a morning yoga session, massage, or facial at one of the peninsula’s many beauty retreats.
