Your hosts Claudia and Georg welcome you to Bed and Breakfast @21, our friendly and comfortable Bed and Breakfast in North West Tasmania. Whether you’re here for water activities or wildlife; bushwalking or beachcombing; picnicking or cycling, you’ll find Bed and Breakfast @21 a great place to base yourself. Our Bed and Breakfast property is based in Gawler. It is a nice quiet area, no through road, yet only a couple of minutes drive to a dog friendly beach and Ulverstone, with supermarkets, post office, cafes, chemists, shops and restaurants. Experience spectacular panoramic views of the Dial Range and a variety of birdlife, wallabies and echidnas. Our modern and cosy self-contained studio has a separate entrance. Outdoor Spa, free WIFI, washing machine, BBQ, kitchen, modern bathroom, king size bed and much more. A German style continental breakfast is included in the price. It comfortably fits two but also has a double sofa bed. Well behaved pets are most warmly welcome in the studio. Alongside the track, discover ferns, brightly coloured fungi and native wildlife.....GUNN PLAINS CAVE...Gunn Plains Cave is a fascinating world of caves, sinkholes and underground streams......WING’S WILDLIFE PARK...Wing’s Wildlife Park is home of Tasmania’s largest collection of wildlife, including the famous Tassie Devil!......CRADLE MOUNTAIN – LAKE ST CLAIR NATIONAL PARK...Dramatic Cradle Mountain is the rugged jewel of the park and can be seen from Dove Lake on a day visit. Take the two-hour walk around the lake, or spend the day tackling Cradle Mountain’s summit. There are also a variety of shorter walks that pass through beautiful old-growth rainforest.....NARAWNTAPU NATIONAL PARK...Narawntapu National Park (formerly known as Asbestos Range National Park) is a place of peace for people and wildlife alike. Dubbed the “Serengeti of Tasmania”, Narawntapu is one of the best places in Tasmania to view wildlife. Some of the animals that you may see include the Forester kangaroo, Bennett’s wallaby and common wombat. You may even catch a glimpse of a Tasmanian devil.....DIAL RANGE / FERNENDE GORGE STATE RESERVE...Close to the coast, the Dial Range offers short treks (one to four hours return), suitable for families big on energy, but short on endurance. Mt Gnomon and the Thoresby Tunnel can be walked in an hour, and for a little more effort, Mt Montgomery and Mt Dial offer spectacular views.....ROCKY CAPE NATIONAL PARK...Rocky Cape National Park is full of surprises. Aboriginal heritage, ship wrecks, rock formations turned sideways, beautiful hills running down to the sea and an incredible variety of flowering plants.....SHEFFIELD...Sheffield is Tasmania’s largest outdoor art gallery and known as ‘the town of murals’. With sensational views of picturesque Mount Roland, Sheffield is an ideal town in which to take a self guided tour of the murals.....STANLEY...Historic village, interesting art and craft shops, ride the nut chairlift!.....FOR THE GOURMET FOOD LOVERS…Visit cheese factories, Raspberry, Strawberry and Cherry farms, Chocolate factory and honey farm, Salmon farm as well as restaurants, and cafes’s where you can taste some of the delicious Tasmanian seafood and other Tasmanian products available. Visit some wineries and the Tasmanian Whisky Distillery in Burnie.
